Osteoporosis and Osteopenia are often called the silent disease, because you don’t know you have a problem until you have a nasty fall or suffer a fracture and feel the pain.

I'm Sarah, a Bone Density & Wellbeing Health Coach

As a woman (40+) we know how important it is to look after our bone density and nutritional health as our hormones and body changes in later years. It’s no secret that this isn’t always a priority due to our busy schedules and looking after everyone else!

At the end of a long day, the last thing I often want to do is prepare a healthy meal that takes even more of my time and energy, and it’s just easier to eat the leftover mac and cheese my kids didn’t finish. However, I’ve learned that healthy cooking and exercise is required if you want to prevent bone density loss in the future. Plus the risk of a fall or fracture can be reduced with the right kind of strength and balance training.

My program, The Bone Builder System, builds strength, improves balance and posture, increases flexibility, and stimulates bone growth to reduce the risk of having an osteoporotic fracture. Along with nutritional coaching to improve your health, reduce weight for overall well being.

I’m here for you to create a safe space of encouragement and accountability when it comes to your well being goals where we can discover what works best for you to find balance and peace of mind.

Through 1:1 bone density and nutritional coaching, we’ll explore your health goals to create a plan that’s custom to your lifestyle and sustainable to help you feel good in your body and gain confidence in your choices.

    FAQs

    • How do I know if well being and nutritional coaching is for me?

Well being and nutritional coaching is for you if you have been diagnosed with Osteopenia, Osteoporosis or it’s likely you’ll experience this in the future if you don’t take preventative measures now. This helps you both manage and prevent these issues through improved diet, increased movement and strength building.
    • What if I have been diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis can coaching help?

Yes it can run alongside your Doctor's advice to help you manage your symptons, improve your strength and develop an overall health and wellbeing plan for the future.
    • How do I find the time for work on my health?

When you invest time in your own health, you will have more energy, better sleep and greater strength, so you can better do the things you enjoy. In the long run, taking care of your health will reduce chronic illness, leading to fewer visits to the doctor and a longer more enjoyable life.
    • Do I have to know how to cook?

Learning about healthy cooking and nutrition can certainly be a part of your personalized plan. Adequate nutrition is important in achieving and maintaining optimal bone mass, as well as preventing this debilitating disease. It is widely accepted that adequate calcium and vitamin D intake are necessary for good bone health; however, nutritional benefits to bone go beyond these two nutrients.
